The Zoll R Series is a versatile medical device that functions as an advanced life support (ALS) defibrillator, basic life support (BLS) defibrillator, and monitor. It is capable of delivering essential medical treatments such as CPR, defibrillation, and pacing therapies. However, the Zoll R Series is not limited to being just a defibrillator. It also offers additional features including a 3-lead ECG, pacing, end-tidal CO2 measurement, non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) monitoring, and SpO2 monitoring.

One of the key advantages of the Zoll R Series is its wireless connectivity, which enables health providers to quickly access a comprehensive overview of the patient's health status through a personal computer or mobile device. The device is equipped with a color display screen that provides a CPR dashboard, allowing healthcare professionals to monitor and analyze important metrics such as compression depth, rate, and visual indicators of compression releases.

The Zoll E Series is the predecessor model of this defibrillator.
