The Covidien Valleylab FX8 represents a source of energy that is managed by an electrosurgical unit. This energy platform, known as the Valleylab FX8, utilizes TissueTect, an innovative technology that detects and adapts to different types of tissue. The FX8 serves as the predecessor to the Medtronic Valleylab FT10 Energy Platform. Within the Valleylab energy source, users have access to various modes including cutting, coagulation, and soft coagulation. Moreover, this energy source facilitates shared coagulation, enabling two surgeons to operate simultaneously on a single patient.
